The 6th class has kicked off the new year in the most amazing way! They've already enjoyed two exciting trips. First, they visited a writing workshop where they each created a fantastic story! Then, they took an incredible trip to Kilmainham Gaol. The students had the chance to dive into the fascinating history of the jail, learned all about it in class, and uncovered so many interesting stories about this remarkable place.
We have had another great month and are making great strides at being ag caint as Gaeilge. Since we didn't have assembly this week I will put the pictures of our Gaeilgeoirí na míosa and also some videos of comhrá agus rannta.
We have also been very busy this week as it's maths week and we are learning all about 3D shapes. We made some shapes using toothpicks and marshmallows.
Finally, after working very hard all week, our Clever Clogs table won table of the week and were delighted with their certificates.
Each class practice a set number of phrases (frasaí) each month and learn a song to perform at assembly.
Here is an example of some of the lovely songs the paistí have been learning.
Special Needs Assistants play a crucial role in supporting students with additional needs, and are at the heart of our schools.
We are so grateful for Ros, Kay, Carmel, Joanne, Stephen, Daniel, Rosie, Lyndsey, Ruwaida and Louise 🥰
The children work together with the volunteer team, to build a story which is published at the end of the day. This group of children have chosen to extend the story further over the next few days.
Welcome back to School everyone. It is wonderful to see all the children back at school. We welcome our new junior infants and all of the new children who are joining our school.
We especially welcome our new principal Anne Smith. If you see her, please make sure to come and say hello.
