Green Schools
Welcome to our Green Schools page. The Green Schools programme promotes long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community.
We have a Green School Committee that meets regularly with Ms.Higgins to make sure all the parts the Green-Schools Programme are carried out
In our school, we have worked hard to achieve our five flags
- Litter and Waste
- Energy
- Water
- Travel
- Biodiversity
We are currently working on our 5th flag, Global Citizenship – Litter and Waste
The Green School Committee has been busy over the past couple of weeks, preparing for the Global Goals Exhibition. This exhibition will take place on the 21st of May, in the Helix. It will be a chance for the Green School Committee to exhibit the work they have been doing all year. The committee decided to focus on Global Goal 12, which is ‘responsible consumption and production’. The committee have come up with some really inventive ways to reduce, re-use and recycle plastic in our school. Some of these ideas include junk art, bottle bricks and cutlery creatures.
