School Policies/Reports

In order to create a school policy there is consultation with the Board of Management.
It is then brought to Middle Management level to be drawn up. Ms. Hanly, Ms, Cusack, Ms. Ní Cheallaigh, Ms. Bruce, Ms. McLoughlin and Ms. Merry are the staff at Middle Management level.
The policy then goes to the full staff and the parents council for a consultative process.
The policy is finally discussed at Senior Assembly with the pupils.
Covid Response Plan:

We had our DEIS Evaluation in May 2019. The DEIS  (Delivering Equality of Opportunity in Schools) Plan aims to ensure better educational outcomes for learners in schools from disadvantaged communities and to maximise the chances of every child getting the best possible opportunity to fulfil her/his potential in life.
Schools are expected to develop action plans for improvement in the following areas (referred to as the DEIS themes): attendance; retention; transitions; literacy; numeracy; partnership with parents; partnership with other schools and educational providers, and with external agencies. Post-primary schools are also expected to develop action plans for improvement in examination attainment.
The DEIS Evaluation model evaluates and reports on the school’s action planning for improvement. The report is now published on the Department of Education website. Its findings were very positive and it was clear to the inspectors all the wonderful work our school community does.
