We learned about magnets this month! Magnets stick together. We learned the word ‘attract’. We predicted whether lollipop sticks, beads, paperclips, pencils, erasers and paper were ‘attracted’ to the magnets. We found out that the paperclips were attracted to the magnets. Cool!
We noticed that some sides of the magnets would not stick together, no matter how much we tried! That’s because they were ‘like’ poles. Red and red repelled each other. Blue and Blue repelled each other. However, when we put ‘different’ poles near each other, they were attracted to each other. We also learned that ‘N’ on the magnets was for the North Pole and ‘S’ on the magnets was for the ‘South Pole’.
