Normally around this time of year we’d have Active Schools Week but this year it might be a nice idea for you to try Active Homes Week. It’s really hard to keep active when we are encouraged to stay home during this time but here are a selection of ideas and activities you can try at home. Children are recommended to get 1 hour of physical activity daily. Why don’t you try to set yourself the challenge of being active for one hour every day this week?
You could go for a walk, run, cycle, gonoodle dance, play a sport/game with your family, follow a YouTube workout video, cosmic kids yoga. Anything that gets your heart beating! If you are outside, make sure you’re following guidelines about social distancing and staying within the 5km from your home.
