Great work in the School Garden

Our Green-fingered pupils were very busy today in the Garden Club. Today they were working on the vegetable patch and they planted out the first of the vegetables. They planted down some seed potatoes which they had chitted. This was very exciting as we were delighted and surprised by our potato crop last year.
We also planted out our courgette plants which was a very successful crop last year and we have planted out corn. We have never grown this before so it really is an experiment for us. We didn’t get a chance to plant out our cucumber and leeks. They have been growing inside and we hope to get a chance to do it before Friday.
