We wish all of our school community an enjoyable summer break. See you all on the 26th of August.
One of the highlights from our last week in school was a visit from the Garda equine and dog unit. The Gardaí gave the children so much of their time and the children really enjoyed it.
Congratulations to our 6th class who graduated this morning. We had a lovely morning celebrating all that they have achieved during their time in OLOL. We will miss them all and wish them the very best of luck in the future. We have uploaded lots of photographs and videos at the link below. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZVDjRj5QsJE7LrgJ10ND8qlDJ1kLSi0H?usp=sharing
Congratulations to the staff who had a comprehensive victory over the 6th class students in the annual students vs staff match. This year we played rounders and it brought out the competitive sides in everyone. It was a very enjoyable morning and well done to all the rest of the classes who cheered their team on from the sideline.
We had some brilliant posters that were entered into our competition. The children really got behind the meaning of what Restorative Practice is all about. Well done everyone!
Well done to everyone in 6th class for their enthusiasm and participation in our sports day. Our competitive sides were brought out during our team challenges and a big well done to the blue team who prevailed victorious at the end of the day!
We had lots of fun in First Class with a parachute on the field for Active Week!
For this week’s art lesson, we were inspired by Piet Mondrian’s Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow. We worked collaboratively on one large piece to make the background for our door display and then we painted our own. We cut them out in to various designs such as diamonds, love hearts, cars and buses.
