We have been very busy in Senior Infants over the past few weeks. The children have been working very hard in their phonics groups learning all their sounds and they have been enjoying reading a range of books during our reading workshop sessions. Due to Covid 19 and restrictions on celebrating Communion our current 4th class and 3rd classes have finally made their communion. They celebrated it at St. Michael’s church, Inchicore with Fr. Louis. The children were absolutely delighted to be celebrating this wonderful sacrament at long last.
We have been extremely lucky in our class to have Liz for Creativity in the Classroom. Over the past few weeks, we have been exploring the use of clay. We worked collaboratively to make clay castles. We tried to use a variety of textures to add detail to our castles.
Our current 4th class finally got to make their First Holy Communion last Saturday in St. Michael’s church, Inchicore. Some children were thankfully still able to fit into their beautiful outfits and they looked really well.
