The children in Ms O’Dwyer’s 2nd Class have been settling into school very well since the start of September. We have had a very busy month and the children are working very hard. They have been doing great writing and having excellent discussions in reading groups.
We have also been busy in class learning about Japan and the Rugby World Cup as well as doing a spot of baking. The children are looking forward to making lots of nice things throughout the year. We have been learning some Lámh and the children can all sign their name. Today we looked at the work of the artist and the architect Hundertwasser. The children learned about the work of an architect and studied the designs of Hundertwasser. They became architects themselves today and designed their own unique building, placing emphasis on bright colours and interesting patterns. Take a look at some of the pictures of us at work during September!
