The boys and girls in 1st class were very lucky to be chosen to take part in the Sow and Grow campaign this year. The children were involved in planting and looking after their very own cress, baby carrots and runner beans. The children had great fun and enjoyed learning all about sowing and growing their plants in class. 🙂
Our Lady of Lourdes are delighted to launch our new OLOLympics for the last term. We are hoping every pupil will partake in a sports activity every day in the last term. A wide range of sports will be covered including dance, gymnastics, athletics, games, yoga as well as many other activities.
Our beautiful old Cherry Blossom trees are almost in full bloom. This is a wonderful sight and its a pity we wont be in school to see it. We hope there will be some blossoms left when we come back from our Easter holidays.
We had a lovely morning this morning in Senior Infants:Room 6. Lots of parents came in to do some Easter Art with us. The classroom was really full but the children really enjoyed working with their mums, dad and grannies. Our Green-fingered pupils were very busy today in the Garden Club. Today they were working on the vegetable patch and they planted out the first of the vegetables. The children in Ms. Merry’s Senior infants have been very busy writing stories for the past few weeks. They made booklets of their stories and brought them home to show their parents. They were very proud of their efforts and so they should be, They worked so hard as authors and illustrators. Well done.
