Some lucky children from our school got selected to go to a soccer game in the Aviva stadium. The game was a friendly between Ireland and Iceland. While the game wasn’t the most exciting game of football the children really enjoyed the experience.
The children in our Garden Club experimented with an idea last November. We got 10 small cuttings from some mature Geranium plants . We just put the in some soil in a window box and kept it indoors watering it once a week. Our 6th class students will be celebrating the sacrament of Confirmation this Saturday. This is a very important milestone in their faith journey and they have worked so hard to prepare alongside their teachers, Ms. Bheilbigh and Ms. Beardmore. We wish them well and we hope they enjoy this special day.
Seachtain na Gaeilge was a big success again this year. Children throughout the school made a fantastic effort to use Gaeilge during the school day and in planned activities. They prepared lovely songs and poems for our ceolchoirm, they did some Irish dancing with Ms O’Donnell and they took part in some sean nós dancing with Tommy Stenson from Mayo.
